Organizational Overview
YTL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Malaysia’s award-winning YTL Group, focuses on empowering underserved communities through education, community development, and value-driven leadership. Established in 1997, the Foundation is dedicated to advancing educational access and social impact across Malaysia’s low-income and marginalized groups.

Core Objectives and Support Programs
The Foundation is committed to providing scholarships, financial assistance, and community relief regardless of race, religion, or creed. It supports the creation of educational institutions and initiatives that alleviate human suffering, promoting inclusive education and social equity in Malaysia’s underserved communities.
Education and Leadership Initiatives
YTL Foundation’s education programs, including the YTL Foundation Scholarship Programme and the Yeoh Tiong Lay Award, support students who exemplify leadership, integrity, and academic excellence. The Foundation also delivers digital and physical learning platforms such as 54C Learning Space, Learn From Home, KelasKITA, Leaps Academy, and Ruang KITA, enhancing educational opportunities in Malaysia.
Partnerships with organizations like Acumen Academy, Teach For Malaysia, and PEMIMPIN GSL strengthen leadership development and sustainability, ensuring Malaysia’s future leaders are equipped with essential skills and values.
Community Impact Programs
Ruang KITA, a community education hub located in the low-cost housing area of PPR Seri Perak, Sentul, Kuala Lumpur, provides a safe space for education, nutrition programs, and holistic community training for low-income residents. The Foundation has also refurbished a multipurpose hall for local community use and spearheaded the 1000-day nutrition initiative in partnership with Toy Libraries Malaysia and the International Medical University (IMU), focusing on maternal and child health education.
Digital Learning and Long-Term Development
Leaps Academy, an innovative online after-school education program, supports underprivileged children, including refugees and low-income families (B40), responding to the educational challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Collaborating with Teach For Malaysia, this initiative ensures continued educational access and sustainable learning outcomes for vulnerable student populations.
