“Driving Sustainable Innovation and Environmental Responsibility”
AIDA Shows Exemplary Innovation in Environmental Impact Reduction, Resource Efficiency, and Advanced Technologies
AIDA Engineering, the Japan-based World’s leading metal forming system builder have been engaging in the development of a wide array of forming systems, including press machines, factory automation, industrial robots, and forming methodologies, since 1917. With a global network of sales and service locations located in 41 cities across 20 countries, AIDA’s press installations exceeding 80,000 units in over 60 countries worldwide, producing wide range of forming solutions for industries such as automotive, appliance, electronics, and electrical.
Established in 1995, AIDA Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. (“AEM”) serves as AIDA’s largest manufacturing facility outside of Japan. AEM specializes in the production of general-purpose servo & mechanical presses ranging from 800 to 3,000 kN. Over time, AEM has evolved to support AIDA’s global manufacturing strategy by implementing advance & fully integrated manufacturing system aimed at ensuring the superior quality of AIDA products.
AIDA Group’s core philosophy centers around being a forming system builder and fostering enduring trust-based relationships with its stakeholders, namely customers, communities, suppliers, employees, business partners, and shareholders/investors. It strives for sustainability and increased corporate value while manufacturing user-friendly and environmentally responsible products, creating value that contributes to societal development, and enhancing governance to achieve harmony with society.
The main environmental challenges in modern manufacturing is optimizing material efficiency, which significantly impacts resource extraction, energy consumption, and waste generation. AIDA’s proprietary Direct Servo Formers- DSF® Technology provides an ideal solution for addressing this concern. It is a resource-conserving solution that enhances material yield efficiency, subsequently reducing the demand for raw materials and promoting natural resource conservation. As a result, AIDA’s DSF® Technology empowers customers to attain a remarkable 43% enhancement in material yield, leading to a substantial reduction in raw material usage compared to conventional methods. This environmentally conscious approach aligns with AIDA’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing practices and responsible resource management.
AEM has actively pursued a range of environmental initiatives to minimize operational impacts. These efforts include enhancing energy efficiency and reduced carbon emission, waste reduction measures and proper material recycling. Additionally, AEM prioritizes environmental conservation throughout its manufacturing operations. This commitment is exemplified by the rigorous efforts to recycle and reuse 100% of metal scraps generated during the manufacturing process. The company maintains strict compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards and has earned Green Label Certification for its servo presses, reflecting a commitment to green technology and sustainable practices in Malaysia.
AIDA upholds its Environmental Policy through four key principles: reducing environmental impact, legal compliance, preventing environmental harm, and raising environmental awareness. AEM is dedicated to minimizing its carbon footprint within its internal manufacturing processes. Externally, through the adoption of AIDA’s know-how, customers can enhance their ability to minimize carbon footprints and play a part in fostering a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach to manufacturing. This collective commitment fosters a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability, underlining the dedication to a greener future.
