Established in 2016 in the Philippines, SUNSMART Solar Power Technology Inc. (SunSmart) specializes in the renewable energy industry, focusing on integrated smart solar hybrid power systems. They service a broad range of clients, ranging from residential, commercial, industrial right up to renewal of rural electrification.

With their corporate mission being ‘to create green communities off-the-grid with SunSmart’, they have achieved many firsts in their industry. Among them, being the first to introduce integrated solar power energy, and being the first and only Solar Hybrid readily integrated with smart Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) features. In addition, SunSmart is also the first to viably prove that to live off the grid is possible with their technology.

SunSmart believes that their expanding commercial operations will prove that the use of not just solar power, but innovative solar power systems and solutions, are the way forward. They are the very first company in the country that introduced a Distributorship model due to the mobility, multifunctional and ease of use of their solar power devices. 

This business model allowed SunSmart to position distributors within different regions of the Philippines, equipping them with solar technology training and skills, and thus creating opportunity for them to become extended business and service arms of SunSmart in major rural areas. This move proved to be particularly fruitful during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, allowing them localized contact from one island to another in the Philippines. 

Having established their Distributorship business model, SunSmart expanded their business focus to another three areas. The first being establishing SunSmart as the main Smart Solar Hybrid PV Systems technology provider in line with Renewable Rural Electrification Development with National Electrification Administration of the Government’s Electric Cooperatives in every rural area, particularly the far-flung and un-energized areas.

Secondly, capitalizing on their integrated, decentralized and scalable mobile solar hybrid power stations to transition every Diesel Power Plant in major off-grid areas where power, water and connectivity is highly sought after, especially during the pandemic.

Finally, using its integrated, decentralized and scalable smart hybrid AIoT systems to serve as an integral infrastructure component for road lighting, environmental and weather sensors, smart CCTV monitoring, audio broadcast, communications and connectivity.
