For Country Head Parveen Kathuria, leadership is about having clear vision; articulating it well, and leading from the front. As an agricultural graduate from Haryana Agricultural University, and MBA from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, Parveen feels that life is a learning experience every day, and that he has learnt more while doing his job and its different assignments than he has from his formal education.

He counts his role models as Bollywood movie star Amitabh Bachchan for his perseverance; cricketer Sachin Tendulkar for passion every day and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his extra ordinary communication skills. The Country Manager credits the most to his parents for teaching the integrity, sincerity and ownership for all our actions in life. He lives happily with his wife Sangeeta and their two kids Simran and Aryan, in their teens now.

For Parveen, wining the ACES Awards represent accomplishment and recognition for the entire Syngenta Indonesia team; appreciation for the extra hard work they perform day-in and day-out, bringing richness to the lives of more than 20 million Indonesian farmers who are major part of the food security chain producing rice, corn and vegetables for the nation, and in doing so creating a prosperous, self-reliant wonderful Indonesia.
