With their expertise in civil engineering infrastructure and road construction, Fully Contractor Sdn Bhd is paving the way forward to take its place amongst the Top 10 construction companies in Sarawak, East Malaysia.

Fully Contractor Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1999 and is headquartered in Miri, Sarawak, East Malaysia. The company deals in civil engineering infrastructure and road construction works for the government sector as well as for minor projects for the local councils and private sectors. It does so with a team of highly capable and dedicated engineering workers and employees in the company.

Over the past 24 years, Fully Contractor has undertaken more than 600 projects and has achieved 70% of the coverage across the Miri Division.  With their track record of excellent project achievements, they have started making inroads to more business opportunities and are currently expanding their business to other divisions such as Bintulu, Mukah, Limbang and Lawas.

As with all major projects such as roadworks, such undertakings require extreme scheduling and project management involving all parties to ensure smooth and safe operations while meeting the highest possible quality standards in their delivery. All of Fully Contractor’s projects are undertaken with extreme care to ensure meeting the best possible quality achievable. 

Providing the Highest Quality

Fully Contractor emphasizes on quality assurance. The company has its own laboratory to validate their products to ensure that every detail meets the required standard for construction. This is to guarantee professionalism in achieving and providing the highest work quality in infrastructure works such as earthworks, construction of drainage systems and roadworks. They also have an asphalt plant and cement factory to manufacture and supply high quality products such as concrete premix, road markings, signage and turfing that meets or exceeds industrial standards.

In 2019, Fully Contractor Sdn Bhd was awarded the ISO 9001:2015 international standard for meeting requirements for a quality management system (QMS) demonstrating their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Challenges and Solutions

Fully Contractor ensures that all employees are valued and receive the best welfare, safety, and engagement to foster a team spirit and also to coach and guide successors. 

They provide training to all levels of employees regardless of whether they are senior, middle or entry level staff, not just to upgrade their technical knowledge and skills but also to develop their career and enhance their moral character. 

To be a one-stop service for infrastructure development, the company realises they must continually stay updated with the latest information and innovations and there must be increased investment in high-tech equipment in order to expedite project completion.

And to keep their finger on the pulse of market trends and demands, they maintain strong interpersonal relationships and close cooperation with the government. The company also has teams to deal and coordinate with the various departments and each of them is capable of completing their tasks independently.  

For all their successes, Fully Contractor gives back to society by regularly supporting and giving back to various non-government organisations and associations such as kidney dialysis centres, hospitals, religious institutions and schools. 

Future Plans

Fully Contractor Sdn Bhd has ambitions to elevate the company to be among the Top 10 construction companies in Sarawak.

To this end, their vision is to be the Top 10 contractor in the state of Sarawak and to make this happen, their mission is to provide every one of their employees equal value and opportunity as employees are important assets to the company. 

In the near future, Fully Contractor Sdn Bhd plans to set up subsidiary companies in every division in Sarawak, establish factories in other divisions, move forward towards manufacturing with more production departments in construction materials, expand into housing development and establish a training centre for company employees.

Eastern Communications’ talent development and career advancement programmes are put in place to determine talents who are ready for next level, leadership roles or critical roles. The organization conducts a Talent Assessment, which determines readiness; and identifies development programs that the incumbent will need to achieve and be successful in the target position.
