“Boasting of reliable German quality and reliability, Conergy possesses one of the industry’s most advanced and complete portfolios of solar services and solutions. They provide solar services to energy providers and their customers, leveraging on their network of global and local delivery centres to deliver commercially-successful solar plants to their customers.”

Conergy Asia & ME Pte Ltd has made its presence known in Singapore since 2006. It is a company heating up the energy and economic landscape with its business as one of the world’s largest downstream solar companies. What this means is they design, build and develop solar power systems, in addition to selectively taking care of the related finance and long-term asset management of these systems, whether they are solar power systems built for commercial or industrial purposes.
The parent company was founded in 1998 in Germany and has since pioneered the expansion of solar energy globally across six continents.

Although they face intense competition from both large global solar companies as well as local companies who have accumulated experience in solar photovoltaics, the Conergy business model is robust enough to weather volatile market conditions. Conergy has three lines of business, says the management, which have different capital requirements, cash flows, business cycles and profitability levels, which balance off each other very well. This ensures profit margins remain healthy.
Boasting of stellar German quality and reliability, Conergy possesses one of the industry’s most advanced and complete portfolios of solar services and solutions. They provide solar services to energy providers and their customers, leveraging on a network of global and local delivery centres to deliver commercially-successful solar plants to their customers. The availability of solar power being a natural advantage aside, Conergy has a deep understanding of what their customers’ businesses need. Cost optimisation is also a priority for Conergy when considering their customers’ needs, but cost optimisation does not mean the company sacrifices the uncompromising standards for which they are known; on the contrary, Conergy consistently implements best practice processes and these are manifested in their deliverables, producing solutions that deliver high yields and efficiencies.
The workmanship of their plants reflects the long-standing tradition of German knowhow, expertise, precision and efficiency. In engineering terms, the company confidently proclaims that their solar plants are designed to maximise output – and therefore revenue – for the plant owner.

Being a global company also means Conergy is able to operate on a scale and volume that allows components to be sourced at competitive rates. These savings are passed on to customers. Leveraging on economies of scale while maintaining the supply of quality products and services is what makes Conergy a true global player.

Staying abreast of market demands means key management personnel attend exhibitions, conferences and dialogues with industry players constantly. Also crucial are dialogues with customers and partners, a strategy that helps the company stay in the loop with what the market wants.

Employing local staff in local offices also means their teams have extensive local market knowledge as well as the all-important network contacts, a complementary presence to their regional offices.

While their corporate mission is to harness the sun, to preserve the planet and power the world, the company has achieved significant milestones, such as building one of the first utility-scale solar plants in Thailand in 2010, and in 2016, installing 274MWp of solar capacity in the Philippines, making Conergy the market leader in the country for solar energy services. This is in addition to the first and largest utility-scale commercial solar plant built by Conergy in San Carlos City.

The future for Conergy is certainly looking bright.
